08 ABSOLUTE MEMORABILIA

Ok so I broke down and bought a box of the 2008 Absolute Memorabilia Football.  The first 2 packs sucked!!  And I was like oh great here we go again.  I got a no name rookie auto #/99, and a Earl Bennett RPM.. yeah.  CRAP!!  The third pack got a little better.  I pulled a jumbo 3 color prime jersey of Steve Smith of the Carolina Panthers!!!  It was only numbered to 10!!!  And the last pack broke the bank!!!  It was a Darren McFadden War Room Jersey prime auto 1/25!!!  I couldn't believe that I basically got the best card in the product on just one box!  That never happens for me!!!  Needless to say I was VERY pleased!!!  The next thing on the horizon is Leaf Certified Materials.  I am going to help a buddy of mine bust a 8 box case.  He and I are basically just after the Emerald quad patch auto #/5.  Well that is all for now.  Not too much to report on cuz the economy SUCKS BIG ONES right now and nobody really wants to spend the $$ on ebay.  So I am just riding out the storm.

07 08 Topps Letterman Basketball

Well I opened 6 boxes of this a 4 box HTA case and 2 out of an 8 box case.  Overall I was VERY pleased!!!  I pulled some pretty low numbered stuff.  For example out of the 4 box case I got a Wilt Chamberlian patch card 1/5!  A Kevin Garnett 3/5!!  The best pull I got was a Lebron James patch card 1/1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I WAS SO HAPPY!!!  I also pulled a dual scenic autograph of Dennis Rodman and Dominique Wilkins 3/9!!!  I was kind of bummed that I didnt get a fould out booklet auto.  So a few days later I bought 1 box out of the 8 box master case.  The first pack had a Dwight Howard quad jersey autograph!!!  The second box had a Kevin Garnett letter patch card 9/9!!!!  The third pack had the fold out booklet letter patch card!!!  IT WAS CHRIS PAUL!!!!  Numbered 17/19!!!  THE 1ST BOX I OPENED!!!!  So I went again today and talked myself into opening 1 more box.  I AM SO GLAD I DID!!!!  The first pack had a Morris Almond SUPER FRACTOR 1/1 LETTERMAN PATCH!!!!  WOW!!  The second pack had a Thaddeus Young auto 17/19.  Not bad.  The third pack had a GOLD ACIE LAW IV LETTER PATCH AUTOGRAPH 1/1!!!!!  HOLY CRAP!!!! 2 1/1 IN ONE BOX!!!!!  I almost fell over!!!!  I AM TOTALLY SOLD ON THIS PRODUCT!!!  THREE 1/1's!!!!!!!  Not sure what I will bust next, but rest assured you will hear about it!!

First off hello, my name is Chris R. I am a veteran Ebay buyer and seller. My ebay user id is xnamyeknomx, and my ebay store name is My Shoe Box Cards. I am always busting new product (good and bad). Some stuff I usually just write off and then open later and am pleasently surprised. Like Donruss Americana 2 for instance. I was really excited about opening the product. I had opened a full master case of the 1st Americana, so I was ready for this, but when I found out that there were no 1/1 cuts of dead celebrities I passed. About a week later I decided to go for it, and bought a case anyway. Even though the product lacked the 1/1 cuts they made up for it with a bunch of really good hits instead. For instance I pulled a Buzz Aldrin auto numbered 1/6!! I also pulled a George Bush auto #/25!! I was VERY disappointed in this years Topps Triple Threads for baseball. I opened a 9 box case and got KILLED!!! This years product was about $150 per box, but it should have been around $80 per box for the stuff that was in it. I am waiting to see what the Absolute Memorabilia is going to do before I go for a 9 box case. I probally wont do a 18 box case. I think the 9 box case is the way to go. This years rookie class is not as strong as the last 2 years have been with Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Jay Cutler, Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, just to name a few. This year its basically Darren McFadden. Well we will see I will probally break down and open it:) I will let you know how I fair. Dont forget you can always check my ebay site to see for yourself.
